You can add stocks and transactions to your existing portfolio in several ways depending on your portfolio type.
If you haven't created a portfolio yet, you may want to consider visiting the tutorials on how to create a portfolio.
Transactions Portfolio
Option A: Using the Portfolio Editing console
- Open your Portfolio
- Click on Edit Portfolio button
- Insert row by right clicking on the transaction table then enter required data. You can manually enter transaction details or copy from a spreadsheet or another portfolio then paste a data on the fields provided.
Option B: Quick Add/Edit Modal
This option allows you to quickly add transaction/s to your existing stock while viewing the portfolio analysis report.
- Open your Portfolio
- Scroll down to the Holdings section
- Look for your stock on the list then click on the Edit button (see sample highlighted small button above)
- On the modal, enter the transaction details (Date, Transaction Type, Shares and Price)
- Click Create then close the modal. As soon as you close the modal, your holdings will automatically update or you can also click on the refresh button from the message prompt which will appear after.
Watchlist Portfolio
This portfolio type requires only the ticker of a company
Option A: Using the Portfolio Editing console (same procedure above)
Option B: Quick Add/Edit Modal
This option allows you to quickly add transaction/s to your existing stock while viewing the portfolio analysis report.
- Open Portfolio
- Scroll down to the Holdings section
- On the blank snowflake "Build your portfolio", click on +Add Company button.
- On the modal, search your stock using either the ticker or by typing the company name then wait for the matching results. Choose your ticker from the matching results then click on the +Add button.
Option C: Quick Add/Edit Modal
This option is usually found in the company report or in the gridviews. In the company report you'll see a button in the headers labeled as "+ Add to Portfolio" (Figure 1) while on the gridviews you'll see a plus sign (+) on the upper right portion on each of the company (Figure 2).

Holdings Portfolio
This portfolio types requires you to input the ticker and the number of shares in order to calculate the weighted theoretical return within a specific period. You can only add stocks and modify the number of shares by doing the Option A being done with the Transactions Portfolio and Watchlist as instructed above - use the Portfolio Editing console.
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
For Holdings Portfolio, if you are adding stocks using the Quick Add/Edit Modal make sure to proceed to the Portfolio Editing Console to enter the number of shares since the Quick Add/Edit Modal has no facility to add the number of shares. It may cause an error in the portfolio if you fail to edit and add the number of shares.
