Understanding the Watchlist

The Watchlist is a tool to stay up to date on any fundamental changes to the stocks you own and follow. In this tool, you may also set your own fair value and create a Narrative for the stock.

How to Create Your First Watchlist?

Here's the step-by-step guide on how to create your first watchlist: 

1. Sign in to your Simply Wall St account.
2. To access the Watchlist tool, simply click the Watchlist tab in the platform's header.
3. Click on the Add Stock button. Then, search for the desired company using the search bar.
4. Your Watchlist is now created and ready to use. You can access it anytime from the watchlist section of the platform.
   
   

How to Create Multiple Watchlists?

Depending on your plan, you can create up to 5 Watchlists, and there is a limit of 50 stocks per Watchlist to ensure smooth performance.

1. To create a new watchlist, simply go to the Watchlist tab in the platform's header and click the New Watchlist button. 
2. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to enter a name for your watchlist. Once you have entered the name, click on the Create List button to save your watchlist.
   
   

What to Expect After Creating a Watchlist?

After creating a watchlist, you can expect several benefits and functionalities that will help you monitor and manage the assets or items you've added to it. Here's what to expect:

1. 1. Easy Access to the Stocks You’re Tracking: Your watchlist provides a convenient location to access and view all the stocks you're interested in. You won't have to search for them individually; they'll be listed in one place.

      You will find comprehensive stock information, including current prices, fair value, and convenient access to recent updates and any notes you have added to the company report.

   2. Important News & Updates Notifications: You will receive email notifications containing crucial updates about the company. These notifications will include important information such as dividend announcements, earnings releases, and other related news.
   3. Inclusion in the Weekly Portfolio Email: The stocks on your Watchlist will be included in your Weekly Portfolio Email. It will provide you with a clear overview and help you stay updated on the performance and important updates of the stocks that you are interested in.
