Criteria for Narrative Featuring Eligibility

Thank you for creating a narrative! Any narrative that is submitted on the platform will be reviewed by our team of internal equity analysts for the possibility of featuring. The process of featuring will put your narrative centre stage on that stocks company report where it will be visible by any user viewing that stock.

In order for your narrative to be eligible for featuring on our platform, it must meet these criteria below to be considered:

  • Compelling title:
    • The title must encapsulate your perspective in a short succinct statement.
    • Based on our research, we recommend a format of “X Catalyst/s will Y outcome” for best results.
  • Length: Your narrative must be at least 250 words in length.
  • Content:
    • High quality opinion & analysis - In you narrative, you must clearly articulate where you believe the business will be in future and why. You can use our template of catalysts/assumptions/risks which will drive your valuation, but this is not compulsory. Your narrative (the qualitative story) should be justified with numbers (the quantitative analysis) and explain how you reached your estimated valuation.
    • Well written: All articles must be proofread and be free of any grammatical or spelling mistakes. Use of AI should be limited. Do not use AI to rewrite an article you’ve written as it can result in a generic tone and style.
    • Plagiarism: Your narrative must be your own content and writing, and not copied from others such as brokerage research houses or other users.
  • Follows our community guidelines

If you meet all of those criteria, then your narrative will be eligible for featuring! If we do feature your narrative we will let you know!

Maintaining Your Narrative

Well done! You’ve just created your first Narrative. Your perspective is now shared among a community of like-minded investors.

But what’s next for your Narrative? What if that product launch you thought would disrupt the market fell a bit flat? Or what if a new acquisition that you didn’t account for has completely blown your revenue estimates out of the water? What if you feel your narrative no longer reflects your opinions on how the company’s future is shaping up?

Fear not! That is the beauty of narratives. Narratives are a living and breathing content form that can change over time along with your perspective. We allow for users to update their Narrative on the fly to account for the unexpected, and ensure the community is in tune with your exact thoughts the moment you have them.

The community may struggle to engage with a Narrative that is out-of-date and no longer relevant, so to help ensure the community is getting the most out of your narrative, we suggest the following:

Review your narrative quarterly
Keep up to date on quarterly earnings and recent announcements to see how your narrative is tracking. Let readers know if your assumptions are playing out according to plan or if there’s been some unexpected developments.
Overhaul your narrative yearly
A lot can happen in a year! Take the time each year to sit down and revisit your narrative and valuation. If things have gone a completely different direction to your narrative, feel free to re-write your narrative and capture your new perspective! Perhaps your narrative story is playing out, but a recent acquisition has meant revenues are now much higher. You can account for this by redoing your valuation with the latest revenue and earnings figures.
Keep an eye out for the unexpected
Anything can happen in the stock market! A company may come out with a new product that shocks the world, or a company intern may push some code that takes down IT infrastructure worldwide. Expect the unexpected! Feel free to update your narrative whenever something important challenges or supports your perspective, even if it’s a week after you posted it.
