Getting Started with Narratives

1. Go to the Community Page.
2. Click on the "+Create a Narrative" button and search for the stock you want to create a narrative.
3. A new window will appear. Enter your fair value, write a compelling narrative title, and content. Any narrative that is submitted on the platform will be reviewed by our team of internal equity analysts for the possibility of featuring. To learn more about the eligibility criteria, please refer here.
4. Once done, click the Publish button.

1. Go to your Watchlist.
2. Find the stock you want to add a narrative to.
3. Click the (⋯ )button on the right side of the stocks and choose "Set Fair Value."
4. A pop-up modal will appear showing the company’s valuation and the Community Narratives.
5. Click the "Create Narrative" button under the "My Fair Value".
6. Enter a compelling narrative title and content. Any narrative that is submitted on the platform will be reviewed by our team of internal equity analysts for the possibility of featuring. To learn more about the eligibility criteria, please refer here.
7. Once done, click the Publish button.

1. Go to your Portfolio.
2. Click the stock's current fair value in the Fair Value column.
3. A pop-up modal will appear showing the company’s valuation and the Community Narratives.
4. Click the "Create Narrative" button under the "My Fair Value".
5. Enter a compelling narrative title and content. Any narrative that is submitted on the platform will be reviewed by our team of internal equity analysts for the possibility of featuring. To learn more about the eligibility criteria, please refer here.
6. Once done, click the Publish button.

1. In the company analysis report of stock, go to the Company Overview. 
2. Under the Community Fair Values section, click on the "+Create Narrative" button.
3. A pop-up modal will appear showing the company’s valuation and the Community Narratives.
4. Enter a compelling narrative title and content. Any narrative that is submitted on the platform will be reviewed by our team of internal equity analysts for the possibility of featuring. To learn more about the eligibility criteria, please refer here.
5. Once done, click the Publish button.

1. Open your Narrative.
2. Click the “Copy Link”
3. Share the URL with others inside or outside the platform.

Note: You can still make edits for the next 24 hours. After that, use updates to share any changes. After the lockout period ends, the Narrative becomes view-only, but you can publish updates to reflect new insights.
 

Narratives also support images, which can be pasted directly from various sources.

1. Copy an image from your device or a web source.
2. Paste it into the Narrative editor.
3. Adjust placement as needed to support your analysis.

Each week, our analysts highlight three top Narratives in the Weekly Picks section. These are insightful, well-written posts that stand out from the thousands of Narratives created by the Community.

Weekly Picks help you discover new companies, learn different perspectives on familiar stocks, and read well-reasoned counterarguments to your ideas

Active Community members also receive a Weekly Picks email with deeper insights on why these Narratives were chosen.

The User Profile page allows you to view all of a user’s Narratives in one place. Just click on their profile to see every insight they’ve shared.

You can also customize your profile to let the Community know more about you. Personalization options include:

• Avatar - Add a profile picture
• Bio - Share a short introduction
• External Link - Link to something like your LinkedIn profile for extra context

If you’re looking for narratives about a specific company:

1. Go to the Community tab.
2. Click the All Companies button and use the search bar to enter the company name or ticker symbol.
3. Browse the results to see all Narratives related to that company.

Filters help you quickly find the type of insights you’re looking for in the Community section. Whether you want to focus on value opportunities or see what’s trending, filters make it simple to narrow down Narratives.

Start by refining your search to focus on a specific area of the market:

1. Market – Browse Narratives based on a particular stock market. There's also a "Switch to your market" button, which is based on the default market in the account settings.  

2. Industry – View Narratives grouped by industry to compare companies within the same sector.

Once you’ve selected your market or industry, you can apply additional filters to the results:

• Popular - Displays Narratives that are currently getting the most attention in the Community.
• Undervalued - Shows Narratives where users believe the company is trading below fair value.

• Overvalued - Shows Narratives highlighting potential downside or caution.

  

The Top Community Authors section highlights the voices that consistently generate the highest engagement within the community. This ranking is based on impressions generated by authors, reflecting how widely their content is viewed, shared, and discovered by other users.

Community Badge: Recommended Voice

To further recognize exceptional contributors, we award the Recommended Voice badge. This badge is built to recognize and amplify the voices we most want to elevate within the community. 

Each Narrative includes a Fair Value history chart, showing how a user’s estimated fair value has changed over time compared to the stock’s share price.

This helps you:

•  
  • See how the author’s perspective has evolved, more bullish or pessimistic
  • Check the accuracy of their Fair Value estimates over time
  • Identify if the stock price is trending toward its Fair Value, which may indicate its assumptions are playing out

A Narrative Update is an author’s way of sharing new insights as the company evolves.

Updates can include reactions to earnings, forecasts, company news, or strategy changes. They create a timeline of analysis, letting you see how a thesis develops over time. Updates make it easier to track how perspectives change as new information becomes available.

All Narratives feature the Valuator tool on the sidebar.

It adjusts inputs like growth rates or PE ratios to see how the fair value changes based on your own assumptions. It's perfect if you agree with the overall narrative but want to personalize the valuation to match your perspective

Within the Narrative, you’ll also see a company snapshot, including Snowflake Analysis, Market Cap, Rewards and Risks Overview, Quick link to the full company analysis report.

This gives you essential context without leaving the Narrative.

Use Notes to quickly record your own thoughts, links, or observations about the company or the Narrative. This is a handy way to capture insights for future reference.

Engaging with the community helps you get more value from market insights while contributing to meaningful discussions. Here’s how you can participate effectively:

1. Like Helpful Narratives

   If you come across a narrative that you find useful or insightful, you can show your appreciation by liking it. This helps highlight valuable content for other users and encourages contributors to continue sharing high-quality insights.

2. Comment and Join the Conversation

   You can comment on narratives to share your perspective, ask questions, and start discussions with other users. Before you can start commenting, you’ll be prompted to accept the Community Guidelines, which ensure that all interactions remain respectful and constructive.

   We’ve also introduced a Fast Comments widget, where you can view all the comments you’ve posted and notifications related to replies or interactions. This helps you stay engaged and keep track of ongoing conversations.

3. Share Narratives

   Found something worth spreading? You can share narratives with other users directly and on external social platforms. Sharing helps bring more visibility to valuable insights and expands the reach of community discussions.
