Screener FAQs and Troubleshooting

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why Are There Limits in the Screener Results?

Limits are designed to facilitate ongoing enhancements to the screener and the platform as a whole, ultimately enhancing users' experience. By enforcing these limits, we're able to reinvest in our technology, introduce new features, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our service. All users, including those on free plans, will benefit from an improved, feature-rich platform that continues to evolve based on your feedback and needs.

No Limit on Saving Screener

There is no limit to the number of screeners you can create. However, if you exceed the plan limit specified below, only four results will be displayed in any excess saved screeners, and they will not be included in the screener alert.

Allowed Saved Screeners By Plan:

  • Free Plan: 0 Screeners.
  • Premium Plan: 3 Screeners
  • Unlimited Plan: 10 Screeners

What Happens if I Save More Screeners Than My Plan Allows?

Once the limit is exceeded, only the first 4 results will be displayed for any additional saved screeners, and they will not trigger screener alerts.

Which Saved Screeners Will Be Subject to Limitations?

Our method for applying limitations is based on the order of creation. The most recently added screeners will be subject to limitations if you exceed your plan's allowed saved screeners.

How Do I Access the Most Recent Saved Screener if It’s Excluded Due to Plan Limits?

To change the screener you can access or receive alerts on, you will need to delete an older one, or upgrade your plan to increase your limit.

What Happens if I Downgrade My Plan?

You can still access all your saved screeners after downgrading. However, the number of saved screeners that display full results and trigger screener alerts will be reduced according to the new plan's limits. For example, if you downgrade from the Unlimited Plan to the Premium Plan, the number of saved screeners that show full results and trigger alerts will reduce from 10 to 3. The saved screeners that will continue to show full results and trigger screener alerts are the first 3 you created.

Can I Save a Screener List as a Portfolio or CSV File?

Unfortunately, these are not available at present. You may manually add companies from your screener to your existing watchlist, or create a new watchlist for the screened companies.

Why Do the Companies in the Results Do Not Match My Filter Criteria for 1-Year Forecasted Earnings Growth?

The forecasted earnings growth estimate in the screener results pertains to the 3-year forecast, not the 1-year forecast you adjusted. The companies you’re seeing in the screener results should match the criteria you set for the 1-year forecasted earnings estimate filter.

Why Do I See Duplicate Companies in the Screener Results?

The duplicate companies in the result are most likely secondary listings. This is due to the ‘Hide Secondary listing’ Filter being toggled off. To toggle it on, simply click the Edit button under the Advance Filters, toggle on the ‘Hide Secondary Listings’ and then click Done.

Some Companies Don’t Appear in the Results. Why Is That?

It’s possible that certain companies are excluded because they don’t meet the criteria specified in the filters. For example, you added 'Software' under the 'Filter by Industry, but certain companies (e.g, SWX:MSFT) do not appear in the screener results. This is because the 'Hide secondary Listing' option is enabled by default, and since SWX:MSFT is a secondary listing, it gets excluded.

Simply toggle off the 'Hide Secondary Listings' option and the secondary listings such as SWX:MSFT will be included in the result. To do this, click the 'Edit' button under 'Advanced Filters,' scroll to the bottom, and toggle off the 'Hide Secondary Listings' option.

Another example is when you add a specific industry filter but some companies do not appear in the results. This could be due to additional filters you have applied, such as Snowflake scores, fundamental parameters under Metrics, or market filters, which exclude those companies as they do not meet the criteria. Kindly review all the filters you have applied.
