Manually Match or Re-Match Tickers in Your Linked Portfolio
After successfully linking your portfolio, you may notice that some of your holdings are not correctly matched or are missing. Below is a clear explanation of each case and what you can do about it.
Simply Wall St primarily focuses on equities. Because of this focus, certain types of investments are not supported on the platform.
This includes:
- Mutual funds
- Bonds and other fixed-income securities
- Cryptocurrencies
Another common reason for mismatched stocks is differences in how your broker labels securities compared to Simply Wall St. When this happens, the platform may not automatically recognize and match your holdings during import. You can fix this manually:
- Go to your portfolio and locate the unmatched holding
- Click the “Match Ticker” button
- Search for the correct stock from the suggested list
- Confirm the match. Once matched, your holding will be properly linked and tracked.

Since Simply Wall St covers stocks from multiple global exchanges, some tickers can sometimes be incorrectly matched to the wrong listing during automatic import.
To solve this, we’ve introduced a rematching feature that makes it easy to correct these cases.
How to rematch a holding:
- Locate the holding in your portfolio
- Click the three horizontal dots (⋯) next to the company, and select “Re-match holding.”
- Search for the correct company using either the ticker symbol or the company name
- Select the correct company and exchange
- Click the “Match Ticker” button to confirm
Once confirmed, your portfolio will update with the correct listing, ensuring your data reflects the right company on the right market.
