Is your linked portfolio disconnected?
Your portfolio depends on data from your broker. Occasionally, the connection between your brokerage account and Simply Wall St is disrupted and needs to be re-authenticated. Causes can include changes on your broker's side.
When this happens, a notice asks you to relink your portfolio.
Relink your portfolio
- Open the affected portfolio.
- Select "Relink with (your broker)" at the top of the portfolio page.
- Follow the prompts to reconnect your brokerage account.
Here's what it looks like:
Is a holding missing or unmatched?
After linking, a holding may not be matched to a company in Simply Wall St. First, check whether the investment type is supported.
Unsupported investments
- Mutual funds
- Bonds and other fixed-income investments
- Cryptocurrencies
You can't fix an unsupported holding by matching it manually. Since they are not available on the platform, they cannot be added to your portfolio.
Match a supported holding manually
If a supported holding wasn't recognised automatically, you can match it yourself. This can happen when your broker identifies the holding differently from Simply Wall St.
- Open the linked portfolio.
- Find the unmatched holding.
- Select Match Ticker.
- Search for the correct stock in the suggested list.
- Confirm the match. After you confirm, the holding is associated with the stock you selected.
Here's how it works in action (Desktop version):
Is a holding matched to the wrong company or listing?
Simply Wall St covers companies on many exchanges, and one ticker can belong to different companies or exchanges. A holding can be matched to the wrong one during the automatic import.
Re-match a holding
Use this if the holding was matched, but not to the right company or exchange. If the holding wasn't matched at all, see this guide.
- Go to your linked portfolio and find the holding.
- Select the three horizontal dots (⋯) next to the company.
- Select Re-match holding.
- Search using the ticker symbol or company name.
- Select the correct company and exchange.
- Select Match Ticker to confirm.
